Can I Customise My Wheelchair Policy?

In order to make sure your policy is the best price, we allow you to set the exact value of your powered wheelchair up to a figure of £15,000.

Your policy can then have further additions such as…

Puncture Care to cover the cost of tyre repair or replacement caused by accidental or malicious damage, with reimbursement for UK call-out costs also included.

Recovery Cover to protect you against unexpected faults with your wheelchair and provide a recovery vehicle, 24/7 365 days a year.  Note, all policies provide cover for breakdown and recovery costs after an insured event but without the optional full Breakdown and Recovery extra, you are expected to arrange this yourself.

Key Cover to cover the cost of replacement keys or locksmith assistance for your scooter, home and car keys.

Important bits to know

It is important to note there is a 7-day waiting period (moratorium), after or from your start date, before you are able to make a claim on your mobility scooter insurance policy.

Yes, we are able to cover multiple wheelchair users as long as they have express permission from the wheelchair owner.

No. As we insure the wheelchair itself, our policy will only apply to that one insured item.

The silver & gold tiers of our wheelchair insurance covers your wheelchair when you are abroad for up to 90 days, excluding North America and Canada.

You cannot make a claim within the first 7 days from the policy start date.

No, this policy has no excess.

Yes, as long as you have some documentation to show that this is from the NHS.

Under this policy, you will be covered up to 90 days during your period of insurance when travelling outside of the UK, excluding North America and Canada. This policy will cover you in respect of damage to your manual wheelchair whilst in the possession or control of airport authorities, baggage handlers or whilst on an aircraft.

Yes, if your wheelchair needs repairing the costs of a temporary replacement will be reimbursed.

Unfortunately, we would not cover your wheelchair during sports activities, therefore wouldn’t cover a sports wheelchair.

We will send you a reminder 30 days prior to your renewal date, we will then give a courtesy call a week before to make sure you are aware of when the policy expires.

Absolutely, we give customers the option to split the cost of their policy and pay monthly or pay for their policy in full, annually.
